Nominator's project description
| The work of Professor Metiu is higly interdisciplinary, ranging from the development of innovative theoretical physics and computational science concepts, to novel, applications in areas such as the surface physics, quantum dynamics, or "photochemistry", to research on catalysis relevant for industrial processes. His present focus is on nano-scale catalysis (e.g. by small metallic clusters on metal oxides) and on electro-chemical reactions such as in fuel cells. |
